An artistic, magical forest scene with glowing flowers that have starry patterns and lights, a deer silhouette, tall pine trees, a flowing stream, and celestial elements like a crescent moon and swirling cosmic dust. The text reads: 'Spaceflower The Band' and 'Music for Healing & Spiritual Growth'.

Spaceflower is a free-improvisation ensemble that creates music in relationship with the people and atmosphere around it. The musicians translate feeling into sound, reflecting participants’ experience back to them. This sonic mirroring creates a feeling of recognition and connection where individuals feel accompanied, and the group can hear itself becoming a whole.

During ceremonies, Spaceflower focuses attention, supports transitions, moves with intensity, and helps experience settle into integration. As a standalone band, the same listening process produces unrepeatable performances in which the musicians, audience, and room become one responsive system.

Spaceflower can accompany ceremonies, retreats, workshops, gatherings, and arts events. We collaborate with hosts to match our musical role to the intention and structure of each event.

OUR MUSICIANS:

Jeremy Kurn is a pianist, composer, arranger, and music director with a degree in music composition from UC Davis and decades of professional experience spanning classical music, jazz, funk, gospel, musical theater, and free improvisation. Since the early 2000s, he has explored the meeting place of improvised music, meditation, altered states, and healing.

Through Spaceflower, Jeremy creates live improvised music for psychedelic ceremonies. Listening closely to participants’ breathing, movement, and emotional tone, he translates the changing individual and collective experience into music. Rather than imposing a predetermined journey, his playing reflects and supports what is already unfolding, helping participants feel accompanied, mirrored, and connected.
